We started making chairs by hand in the woods in 1996. They were our route into understanding the processes of appropriate technology woodworking. Chairs directly from the wood, materials selected and worked by hand in the woods resulted in pieces of function and grace.

Inspired by the shakers simplicity and purity of form and the ethos of the arts and crafts movement our chairs are simple and robust.
